Our Place by The Sea

Located just two blocks from the Atlantic Ocean in the seaside town of Bethany Beach, Delaware, our center includes three buildings for lodging, a large dining center, a chapel, a playground, a sand volleyball court, and basketball facilities. We are in the center of town, close to shopping, dining, and, of course, the Bethany Boardwalk. We have a number of spaces on campus suitable for large and small group gatherings.

Town of Bethany Beach

Founded in 1901 by our Center, the Town of Bethany Beach has become one of the premier beach destinations in the Mid-Atlantic. Bethany is known as the "Quiet Resort" and prides itself on being a small family friendly beach town. The town is beautifully maintained, safe for all ages, and, during the season, provides one of the most respected beach patrol teams on the East Coast. The town regularly sponsors concerts on the bandstand, along with movies, and other activities.

Bethany Beach Center

Bethany Beach Center is the perfect place to hold your next retreat. We welcome church groups, youth events, family retreats, community organizations and others to gather in this very special setting. We have many options to make the experience both great and affordable. Our facility is accessible for all ages with ADA approved lodging available on request. We offer the option of meals at our dining center but provide flexibility to plan according to your individual preferences. Costs vary depending on the lodging selected but we will work with any group interested to put together a plan that meets your budget.

The Beach

Days at the Bethany Beach Center often include a visit to the beautiful beach. Our location is just two short blocks to the sand. Bring your chairs and umbrellas or rent them on the beach. Bethany beaches are well guarded from Memorial Day to Labor Day. The town does an exceptional job keeping the beach clean and welcoming for all. Bethany Beach Center has multiple outdoor shower facilities to make the return from the beach a pleasant experience.

Around Town

Guests at the Bethany Beach Center are just steps away from the lovely downtown Bethany Beach shops and restaurants. A wide variety of stores provide interest for everyone. Restaurants include everything from fast beach fare to formal dining. The popularity of Bethany Beach has led to many new restaurants opening in the area over the past several years. Of course there are plenty of places to find that after-dinner sweet.

Activities

The Bethany Beach Center campus offers a full-size sand beach volleyball court. A full outdoor basketball court is a popular draw for many throughout the warmer months. Children cannot resist a visit to the large playground full of inviting equipment. The recreation area is on the Bethany Center campus and is maintained in partnership with the Town of Bethany Beach. Groups at Bethany Beach Center have preference on the use of the courts for scheduled group activities.

Easy Access

Bethany Beach Center is right in the middle of one of America's premier beach communities. Easy to access from Coastal Highway (US-1) or Delaware Rt 26, getting to Bethany Beach Center will be easy for you and your group. Once in Bethany Beach, the Center is just steps from the Ocean and all the popular places to visit.
